Another hostel in Belgrade

There is a hostel in Belgrade called «Fair & Square». My friend said, the are looking for a volunteer. So I came. It is an interesting place.

This hostel is a bit far from the center. Although it is reachable by bus 65. Takes around 20 minutes to get there. It is located in front of the huge cemetery. Just close to the bus stop. Shops are also reachable in 5 minutes. So it’s pretty convenient.

There is lots of space. It’s like a private land on the small quiet street. An open ground with 2 big houses, or may be 3. One of the houses is a reception, kitchen and a guest room space. Another one is a living space, with rooms. Everything is decorated with deeply artistic paintings on the walls and around the place. Lots of facilities are custom made out of metal and wood to feet the huge space. Like long tables and wide sofas.

I’ve heard from guys that before the pandemic there were usually lots of people staying, like 30. I imagine it could be super fun in such a vast space, with all the facilities. People used to make bonfire and grill and chill in different ways. Nowadays a few people are staying. So it acquired a different, relaxed atmosphere. Nobody bothers you at night and during the day if you want to. At the same time all the facilities are at your disposal.

Pretty good sound system, playstation and stuff like this. They also do hookah. I don’t know what else. Every hostel is a bit different I guess and have its features. I would say this one has lots of space and comforts.

This starts to sound like a review. I don’t mind. Ain’t have any agenda. Just reporting my experience. Will see how is volunteering here. Cause I’ve never done that type. Only at farms and campings.
