I still can not figure out how this instrument is supposed to be played. It is very sensitive to the humidity. Its mouthpiece opens and closes all the time. Although it has a limiting ring. If it’s too tight it is just not possible to produce a sound.

My mouthpiece was very fat. So I polished it with a sandpaper few times. Today I tried to play with a Dam recording in B flat. I polished it once again. And I felt some magic out of it. It seems that the instrument is really a meditative thing. It should not be played too hard. But there should be a very gentle and precise control by fingers. Adjusting to the tonic all the time. Stepping away from it and back. I dived into its magic a little bit deeper. And just confirmed to myself that I have to learn some Arabic scales. To truly open its possibilities.
